The United Arab Emirates has expressed its solidarity with Syria following a collision involving two passenger buses on the Damascus–Deir ez-Zor highway that left several people dead and injured.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed its condolences to the families of the victims and expressed sympathy to the government and people of Syria over the tragedy.
The ministry also wished those injured in the accident a speedy recovery.
The UAE reaffirmed its solidarity with Syria as authorities respond to the aftermath of the crash. The ministry did not provide additional details on the number of casualties or the circumstances surrounding the collision.
