Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian said all documents related to the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte are now available on the Senate’s website as part of efforts to ensure transparency in the proceedings.
Gatchalian said the public can now access the impeachment records, including relevant documents and evidence, through the Senate website.
He said providing public access to the records is an important step in preserving the integrity of the impeachment process and allowing Filipinos to independently examine the evidence.
According to Gatchalian, maintaining a comprehensive digital repository of the proceedings enables the public to verify information directly rather than relying solely on content circulating on social media.
“We invite the public to examine, read and understand the proceedings for themselves. While we in the Senate sit as senator-judges, the true and ultimate judges in this impeachment trial are the Filipino people,” Gatchalian said.
