Dubai launches drone delivery network in parks and beaches under new partnership

Dubai Municipality has signed a strategic partnership with Keeta Drone to establish a drone delivery network across selected public parks and beaches, advancing the emirate’s push toward smart mobility and future-ready urban living.

The initiative aims to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation by integrating aerial logistics into everyday public spaces, allowing faster and more seamless delivery of food, beverages, and essential goods.

Under the agreement, both parties will develop and test drone delivery routes within public facilities, while identifying designated launch and collection points across parks and beaches.

The partnership will also study the wider integration of drone-based logistics into Dubai’s urban ecosystem, including potential infrastructure development to support aerial deliveries.

Pilot operations are expected to begin later this year in selected locations as part of a phased rollout across the city.

Bader Anwahi, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said the initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to adopting future technologies that enhance quality of life and transform public spaces into smarter environments.

He said the collaboration will help create more efficient services and improve visitor experiences by building destinations centered on convenience, accessibility, and modern urban lifestyles.

Keeta Drone President Dr. Yinian Mao said the partnership aims to bring services closer to residents and visitors, including in parks, beaches, and other public areas.

He added that both sides are working to ensure aerial delivery services are safe, efficient, and tailored to user needs.

Under the agreement, Dubai Municipality will provide suitable locations and coordinate operations in line with urban planning regulations, while Keeta Drone will handle technical assessments, route design, testing, and performance evaluations.

The project is part of Dubai’s broader smart city strategy, which leverages emerging technologies and public-private partnerships to redefine urban services and improve overall quality of life.
