The United Arab Emirates said its armed forces remain on constant readiness, highlighting their performance in intercepting a wave of missile and drone attacks in recent weeks.
Brig. Pilot Abdulnasser Al Hammadi said the country’s military operates around the clock, stressing that preparedness is continuous and not limited to periods of crisis.
He said Emirati pilots and air defense systems demonstrated “high efficiency” in countering attacks that came with little warning, with most threats intercepted and destroyed.
“We were targeted by hundreds of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones within a matter of days,” he said, describing the scale of the attacks as unprecedented.
Despite the intensity, the defense system maintained operations for 40 consecutive days without a drop in performance, with only limited damage reported from falling debris.
Al Hammadi said the UAE’s defense network is integrated and highly advanced, capable of responding to threats across multiple ranges and altitudes, including ballistic missiles.
He added that resilience, rather than offensive capability, now defines military strength, noting that government operations and daily life continued normally during the attacks.
Officials also highlighted the role of domestic defense industries, artificial intelligence, and coordination across military and civilian institutions in sustaining operations.
“The level we have reached today is the outcome of decades of preparation,” Al Hammadi said, emphasizing the need for continued readiness amid evolving threats.
