154 Filipinos repatriated from Bahrain, arrive safely in PH

A total of 154 Filipinos, including 106 overseas Filipino workers and 48 dependents, have safely returned to the Philippines from Bahrain, arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

The repatriation was carried out through coordination among the Department of Migrant Workers, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and Department of Foreign Affairs, with assistance from a whole-of-government team.

Authorities said the group was transported to Dammam, Saudi Arabia before flying out, as airports in Bahrain remained closed amid regional tensions.

Upon arrival, returnees received financial assistance and other support services, as the government continues to implement reintegration programs such as training, job matching, and livelihood support.

One repatriate said she hopes to rebuild her life in the Philippines, highlighting the importance of skills training and opportunities provided by the government.
