The Abu Dhabi police have warned the people that they would face a fine of up to AED 1,000 for failure to follow the school bus stop sign rules.
A set of rules drivers have been asked to follow are:
– Motorists in both directions should stop at a distance of at least five meters on single-lane roads.
– A driver headed in the same direction of the bus must stop at a distance of at least five meters on two-way roads
The Police reiterated the penalty of AED 1,000 fine and 10 black traffic points for flouting the traffic rules. (AW)
