Children’s COVID-19 vaccination in UAE not mandatory – MOHAP

Parents are not obliged to get their children vaccinated against the coronavirus disease.

A statement from the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) stated that it’s the parent’s choice if they wish to get a COVID-19 jab for their child.

“Let the vaccination be your choice,” read the MOHAP’s central message.

UAE’s health ministry also outlined that parents who choose to get their children vaccinated may get the Sinopharm jab if their child is aged 3-11.

Parents with children aged 12 to 15 can get either the Sinopharm or the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
