Three-year-old Dania Khalid has become the youngest volunteer of Dubai Police. The child distributed water, drinks, and umbrella hats to laborers in a residential area after joining the initiative through the ‘Our Summer is Full of Fun and Joy’ programme.
The Dubai Police community-based initiative ‘Positive Spirit’ recently welcomed the force’s youngest volunteer. Dania is a registered volunteer on the ‘Volunteers.ae‘ platform.
General coordinator of the Positive Spirit initiative, Fatima Buhajeer said that the girl’s participation was aimed at encouraging and instilling the spirit of volunteerism among children.

She said the initiative was carried out in compliance with the precautionary and preventive measures against COVID-19 to ensure the safety of the participants and beneficiaries.
Khaled Saleh, Dania’s father, said that he is keen to instill the spirit of volunteerism, “cooperation and serving the community” in his daughter.
He said that he accompanies Dania during all her volunteering efforts and she has participated in several works including the distribution of iftar meals to people on fast and workers as well. (AW)
