WATCH: Trillanes says Duterte, Go may face plunder charges

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes says that plunder charges will be filed against President Rodrigo Duterte and his close aide, Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go once they are no longer in power.

In his Youtube vlog Trillanes said that Duterte and Go allegedly exerted their influence to bag about Php6.6 billion worth of infrastructure projects in favor of Go’s family.

“If we sum up all the projects cornered by the construction firms of Bong Go’s father and his half brother, this would amount to P6.6 billion.

P1.5 billion during Duterte’s tenure as Davao City mayor, and P5.1 billion during the first two years of Duterte presidency,” Trillanes said.

The former senator said that he decided not to file cases yet since the tandem will use their power to dismiss the cases.

“Hayaan ninyo, konting hintay na lang naman,” he said.

“As always, these allegations did not come from gossip, but from documents from DTI and COA, so they cannot escape liability,” he said.

Go on the other hand calls Trillanes’ claims as rehashed issues.

“I will never back down from the cases that will be filed because I know my conscience is clear, and I have not violated any law,” he said in a Viber message.

The senator also debunked accusations that he influenced, interfered, or benefitted from the contracts won by firms of his family.

“Salamat dahil sa paninira ni Senador Trillanes naging senador ako,” he added.
