Vice President Leni Robredo is pushing for the opposition to have a lone presidential candidate for the 2022 polls.
In her weekly radio program, Robredo reiterated that she is open to run for president or any other position next year.

The vice president said she is in talks with some opposition members to field for a lone bet to represent everyone who is not part of the administration bloc.
She added that she can’t decide yet if she will seek a local position until she finalized the national level.
Meanwhile, 1Sambayan welcomed Robredo’s remarks that she is open to run for President and a unified opposition slate.

Robredo is one of the potential standard-bearers of 1Sambayan, a coalition formed to field a single slate of candidates to challenge Duterte’s bets in 2022 polls.
The group will announce the candidates they will endorse for national posts on Saturday, June 12. (RA)
