Filipino restaurant brands doing very well in UAE

“Despite the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, Filipino restaurant brands are doing very well in the UAE,” said Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Hjayceelyn M. Quintana after visiting Teriyaki Boy & Sizzlin’ Steak Restaurant and Off The Hook restaurant in Abu Dhabi recently.

Talking to the respective owners, Mr. Sami Alon of Kasamar Holdings and Mr. Rollie Brucales of Off-the-Hook (OTH), the Ambassador was briefed that these two restaurant brands are in the process of opening more branches in the UAE in the coming months.

The newly-opened Teriyaki Boy & Sizzlin’ Steak restaurant in Abu Dhabi is currently the 5th branch in the UAE. OTH, on the other hand, currently has 6 restaurant outlets and will open 4 more before the end of the year. The OTH is a home-grown restaurant chain in the UAE that is fully-owned by UAE-based Filipinos.
