Because of high poverty incidence and poor access to education, Manila residents ranked lowest when it comes to Intelligence Quotient (IQ) in Southeast Asian nations, according to a study, the World’s Smartest Cities, released by the World Population Review (WPR).
The IQ which is often use to measure smartness and defines an individual’s ability to learn.
The higher the IQ means that a person is intelligent and could learn new things faster.
Manila ranked among the lowest in the Smar City Report.
The report however said that the national IQ does not only refer to a country’s intelligence but also linked to poverty incidence with low IQ scores and poor access to education and educational systems.
