For the first time in the UAE, an award for the excellence in service for the nurses working in the UAE is been constituted. Joyalukkas Angel Awards has garnered huge public attention and has since gotten thousands of entries from all across UAE within 10 days of its one-of-a-kind campaign.
‘We are totally excited to see the kind of response from general public sharing emotional stories about nurses who solaced them when in need, The website is already loaded with entries,’ shares Juby Kuruvilla, Managing Director of Equity Plus Advertising in Dubai, the creator of the award.
Nursing is one of the professions which possess caring, dedicated, passionate and painstaking qualities. With lots of responsibility for the continuous care for sick, disabled and dying patients, Nursing is also responsible for encouraging the health of individuals, their families and communities.
Nursing is considered as the backbone of every hospital as it plays a role of moderator between doctor and patients. Nurses provide comfort, care and compassion even without a prescription. The nursing community is unique in many ways and many of their untiring sacrifices have since been unnoticed.
‘We are in the process of shortlisting the best entries from all the entries we received so far, some are really heart-warming and with great respect to the kind of work nurses do, we want those deserving people to be recognized,’ says Mithun Ramesh, Programming Director Hit FM 96.7.
