Ambassador Quintana lauded the efforts of the Teriyaki Boy & Sizzlin’ Steak team, saying that their timing to introduce Filipino brands jives in with the Embassy’s vision to launch a Filipino Food exhibition in a few months’ time. “In June, we will be starting a Philippine food showcase. It has the slogan ‘Feel Good, Fil Food’ (Filipino Food).  We’re starting to showcase Filipino food in this country in the Year of Tolerance as we’re trying to align ourselves with the objectives and goals of the United Arab Emirates and this is really an opportunity for us to introduce to the community what Filipino food is like.”

The ambassador adds that she values the trust that Kasamar Holdings has as the company who continues to bring different Filipino food restaurants and brands to the UAE: “I’m glad that we are opening these wonderful restaurants – Teriyaki Boy & Sizzling Steak. I really admire the confidence and trust that this family has for Filipino brands. It’s a pleasure and honor for me to meet your family (at) Kasamar Holdings.”

Kasamar Holdings Director Mo Bississo is likewise optimistic that following the success of their latest branch, more and more Filipino brands and branches will soon follow: “We’re very excited to cater to the Filipino community. We want to continue our expansion to all areas where the Filipinos are. Make it accessible, keep the quality, keep the service, and the price point should be attractive. We want to cater to the Filipino community – that’s what we’re here for.”

Guests from the Philippine Embassy, the Bayanihan Council in Abu Dhabi together with the UAE media and bloggers enjoyed the evening as they sampled Teriyaki Boy & Sizzlin’ Steak’s specials the entire evening.
