Dos and Don’ts when travelling to Spain, Portugal and Morocco

If Spain, Portugal and Morocco is in your bucket list to travel to this year, AFC Holidays advises the most important do’s and don’ts so that you’ll get to enjoy the time of your life there.

When in Spain

Do prepare yourself for a late lunch and/or dinner. Lunch usually starts at around 1:00 – 3:30 pm while dinner doesn’t begin till 9:00 pm!

Don’t go off alone, especially during the night. While Spain’s nightlife is a sight to behold, you’d be safer going places together with a group.

When in Portugal

Do learn, observe, and appreciate their customs. You should not compare and contrast any striking differences out loud as people would think you’re assuming superiority of the country you come from.

Don’t give tips in bars and restaurants. While it may be customary for other countries, majority of the restaurants here provide sufficient income for their workers.

When in Morocco

Do bring bottled water at all times. Tap water in Morocco might affect those whose stomachs are easily irritated. You should likewise use bottled water when brushing your teeth.

Don’t expect toilet paper at their bathroom stalls. Be sure to carry one with you at all times just to make sure you don’t spend extra cash for a few rolls of toilet paper.

Since these countries are just miles apart, it would be best to plan a trip to visit all three – and AFC Holidays has just the right package, especially if you’re planning to travel in a group! AFC Holidays offers group trip packages that include free visas and professional tour managers who are ready to respond to any of your queries, making travel easier and more enjoyable.

AFC Holidays has several branches across the UAE with their head office located at Al Khaleej Building, #103 Al Karama in Dubai. They are also reachable through their number 600 569 007, on WhatsApp at 050 107 9698 and through email at [email protected]
