Taste the classic Filipino Puto Bumbong at Eskinita

If there’s a food item that’s closely tied to the celebrations of the Simbang Gabi aka Misa De Gallo in the Philippines, it’s the opportunity to be served with the warmest and fresh tasting Puto Bumbong hot off the pans! And while there aren’t really any food stalls offering these early in the morning as you might be used to back in the Philippines, Filipino expats can still savor the taste of the classic Puto Bumbong at Filipino restaurants like Eskinita.

Aldo Aguilar, owner of Eskinita, said that Filipinos from all around the UAE don’t only visit their store for their street food choices at Eskinita, they also fulfill their cravings for Puto Bumbong as it is available not just during the winter season – the Filipino favorite is available at any time of the year.

“Yung Puto Bumbong namin, hindi siya pang December lang – whole year round siya available. Natutuwa ang mga kababayan natin dahil nakakatikim sila ng Puto Bumbong kahit hindi taglamig,” said Aguilar.

Aguilar furthers that Eskinita’s wide range of street food offerings will surely satisfy the cravings of Filipinos no matter what time of the year it is. “Lahat ng klase ng street food from the Philippines, makikita ninyo dito. Sa mga Kabayan natin na gustong makatikim ng authentic na Filipino street food, dito lang po sa Eskinita yan. Tangkilikin natin ang sariling atin,” said Aguilar.
