This is the reason why many OFWs say that one does not really know how hard being an OFW is until special occasions come and you find yourself alone.
This is the sad case for an anonymous OFW who shared with Online Daily Trends his conversation with his wife when he greeted her a happy New Year.
The OFW, who works as a seaman, said he decided to greet her wife a Happy New Year, adding that he misses talking to her after being away from his family for a long time.
Her reply, however, was heartbreaking.
