Anne Curtis to visit fans in Dubai, Abu Dhabi for premiere of ‘Just a Stranger’

Filipino movies continue to take the UAE cinema screens by storm as this time, renowned Filipina celebrity and host Anne Curtis will be visiting her fans in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for the international screening of her latest movie, ‘Just a Stranger’.

Screenings with the exclusive meet-and-greet with Anne Curtis will be held at Reel Cinemas in Al Ghurair as well as at The Dubai Mall this coming September 6. She will also visit her fans at Al Wahda Mall’s Oscar Cinemas in Abu Dhabi the next day, September 7.

Earlier, the ‘It’s Showtime’ host and actress confirmed her Middle East trips through Twitter as a response to a netizen’s question: “Yes! I’m doing both Dubai and Abu Dhabi,” Curtis tweeted back.

The movie ‘Just a Stranger’ follows the footsteps of Mae Pimentel (Anne Curtis), who in spite of unexplainable chronic pain, has everything a strong, independent woman wants: Wealth. Natural beauty. A life of leisure and exploration.

She spends life hopping from one town to another, staying alone in lavish hotels and resorts to explore the surrounding villages and collect photos and videos of things that pique her interest —heritage buildings, local artifacts and cultural events.

A young man would have piqued her interest as well, if only for his gorgeousness and brooding persona. He is Jericho “Jekjek” Esguerra (Marco Gumabao). He’s not exactly the approachable type, but the combination of ennui, youth and physical attractiveness makes Jekjek stand out in her eyes.

‘Just a Stranger’ will begin screening on UAE cinemas a day prior to Anne’s visit – September 5.
