Catriona Gray gives her take on sexual harassment issues in Miss Universe beauty pagaent

Catriona Gray has once again proven that she is ready to slay the question and answer portion of the Miss Universe pageant after she delivered her sentiments on sexual harassment that was lauded by many netizens.

During her send-off party, Gray was interviewed by reporters on how she is preparing for her upcoming pageant in December.

In a video uploaded by Manila Standard reporter Nickie Wang, Gray was asked to give her opinions on the recent sexual harassment claims of her fellow beauty queens, and she answered it like she was ready for a crown to get placed on her head.

“I think that it’s great that they are speaking up about it,” Gray said.

“If it is happening I believe that in speaking up, they have caused awareness to what’s happening around the issue. As far as I’ve read, the organization is taking the claims very seriously and looking into it in a legal matter and I think that is the best course of action to take. As long as women speak up and feel secure enough to do so, I think that is exactly what we need to do,” she added.

It can be recalled that three Miss Earth candidates claimed that they were sexually harassed by one of the pageant sponsors. Moreover, Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago also shared her unfortunate experiences on Facebook.
