Kris Aquino revealed on social media that she was not fortunate enough to land the role she auditioned for in an international series.
Through an Instagram post, the Queen of All Media revealed that she did not pass the auditions and that the coveted role went to another Asian American actress.
“I got news from [Chris Lee] that my ‘shoot for the moon’ audition for the role in a US series went to an Asian American actress,” she said.
Aquino admitted that she was not able to get the role because she does not fit the description in the first place.
“Mahirap talaga pag hindi ‘boto’ ang mga anak ko, especially Bimb. The role was for a sassy, sarcastic, sexy bartender (truth, I know, hindi bagay [sa akin]) but I was ready to take a mixology crash course,” she said.
She further said that her medical conditions might also affect her portrayal of the character she auditioned for.
“I don’t drink at all because of my hypertension, anti-anxiety, multivitamin, vitamin D, and iron supplement, and most importantly the for different antihistamines taken as daily maintenance,” Aquino added.
Nevertheless, Aquino considered the experience “fun”.

It was on November 7 when Aquino said she has been invited to audition for a “multi-ethnicity production” in the US. Earlier this year, she has a cameo appearance in the Hollywood film “Crazy Rich Asians”.
