The Voice Kids first season champion Lyca Gairanod recently became a trending topic on social media after her performance of Camila Cabello’s chart-topping hit “Havana” on ABS-CBN’s morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda”.

While her singing voice sounded great, many viewers weren’t able to understand the lyrics of the song since she sounded gibberish all throughout the song.

Ever since she started competing in the first season of “The Voice Kids”, Gairanod has mostly sang Filipino songs as she admitted of having difficulty in memorizing and mastering English songs. But being true to herself and coming from humble beginnings skyrocketed her popularity in the show.

After her performance aired on Philippine television, there were some netizens who decided to poke fun on it.

Although, she received negative comments, many netizens and fans also defended the young singer.
