Isabel Granada endured symptoms long before falling into coma, ex-husband reveals

Isabel Granada has been bearing symptoms of brain aneurysm long before falling in a coma, the actress’ ex-husband Jericho Aguas revealed in an interview with Pep.ph

“Medyo matagal na pong naramdaman ni Isabel ‘yan, lalo na yung pananakit ng ulo […] Marami pa po siyang naramdaman din na [nakapagpababa] yata ng potassium,” Aguas shared.

However, Granada refused to go through medical checkups, he said.

When she did, she hid about the results to her family. A doctor, a friend of the couple, told Aguas about the checkup but he failed to get more details about the results.

“Ayaw na lang po niya na mag-alala kami,” PEP quoted Aguas.

Granada and Aguas got married on December 2002 and separated after over 10 years. The two have a child so they still keep in touch.

Before Granada headed to Qatar, Aguas shared, the actress even met him to visit their son in Angeles, Pampanga.

Last Oct 28, Aguas was scheduled to fly to Doha, where Isabel is confined, with his son and mother-in-law, but his visa only got released today. He will be Qatar-bound tomorrow, Oct 31, at 12am, he shared in a recent Facebook post.

“Ako po ay tutungong Qatar para suportahan at alalayan ang aming anak at si mama gwapa. I am in constant communication with [Isabel’s] current partner, Arnel , and told him for the record that I have no intention [of] stepping on his shoes […] And of course to contribute whatever I can for the revival and recovery of Isabel,” Aguas wrote.

Last Friday, Isabel’s heartbeat slowed to a normal 98 beats per minute (bpm) from 156bpm. The family remains hopeful; “God performs miracles. Continue praying… Malapit na hong magkamalay si Isabel,” he added in a previous post.
