“From the UAE, the land founded in the spirit of tolerance, love and coexistence, we congratulate Christians across the world and wish them peace and happiness in celebrating Christmas,” tweeted Sheikh Mohamed on the eve of Christmas.

“Tolerance is one of the UAE’s most important traditional values, a pillar upon which civilizations rise across the ages.”
The celebration of Christmas in the UAE coincides with the tolerance enjoyed by the expatriate community in the UAE.
In an earlier report by The Filipino Times, Fr. Chito Bartolo, OFM, CAP, said: “The most visible sign of tolerance that we could ever have is the places of worship that the host country has given us.”
Fr. Bartolo holds the title as “spiritual director” of the Filipino community in Dubai.
