Actor Dingdong Dantes was heavily criticized after posting a photo of himself with Sen. Risa Hontiveros.
Dantes took to Instagram yesterday, October 28, to share the photo with a caption that details an upcoming project on an advocacy they both promote.
“Happy to share the same advocacy with Sen. @hontiverosrisa. #ComingSoon #ForTheFilipinoFamily,” he wrote on Instagram yesterday, October 28.
However, the actor faced a barrage criticisms. In the photo’s comment section, fans express their disapproval, citing that having ties with the staunch critic of President Duterte will do no good for him.
Sen. Hontiveros was also lambasted in the photo’s comment section as netizens brought up the issue regarding the missing Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) funds.
While many are against Dantes collaborating with Hontiveros, some fans are asking to respect the actor’s political stance.
