The famous YouTube channel REACT which has nearly 10 million subscribers recently posted a video wherein they let American teenagers try Filipino food.
The nine-minute video shows six teenagers, one of whom is half-Filipino, and their reactions as they get a taste of authentic Filipino food from Kalesa Grill, a Filipino restaurant in Los Angeles, California.
They were given servings of different Filipino dishes, including pancit palabok, sinigang, kare-kare and cassava cake.
Most of the teenagers in the video liked the food that they tasted and were even ecstatic that they were introduced to a new flavor.
“I really liked it. The different meats and stuff like that, that’s super interesting to me and so different from what we’re used to here,” said one of the teenagers in the video.
“I’ve never had Filipino food or I’ve never gone to a Filipino restaurant and after this, I would 100% consider going to it because it was all really, really good and interesting and nothing like what I expected,” said another.

Ever since was uploaded on YouTube, it has gained nearly a million views and over 31,000 likes as of press time.
This isn’t the first time Filipino food was featured on the said YouTube channel as they have also previously uploaded a video wherein they had kids eat Filipino snacks.
