An Asian driver is currently in critical condition after his truck collided with another vehicle along a road in Ajman.
The Ajman Civil Defence immediately rushed to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road in Al Hamra area to rescue the driver who was stuck inside his truck following the crash.
Police patrols, ambulances, and fire trucks were deployed to the scene.
The authorities said that the impact of the crash was so strong that the Asian driver was left trapped inside his truck.
They used hydraulic equipment to be able to cut the truck open and remove the driver from the vehicle.
The driver was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital and is currently confined in an ICU for treatment.
Motorists are advised to take caution especially when driving along busy streets. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road is considered as one of the busiest highways in Ajman.
