The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has finalized the calendar for the 2019 midterm elections on May 13.
Comelec Resolution No. 10429 details the whole election calendar as follows:
– October 11 to 12 and October 15 to 17 – filing of certificates of candidacy (COC) and nominations for party-list representatives
– February 12 to May 11 – campaign period for candidates for the Senate and party-list groups (except on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday)
– March 30 to May 11 – campaign period for candidates for the House of Representatives and local positions
– April 13 to May 13 – casting of votes of overseas voters, including OFWs in the UAE
– May 13 – election day in the Philippines

Overseas voter registration has ended on September 30, During the election period, OFWs will elect 12 senators and one partylist representative.
