Singer Liezel Garcia is now engaged to her boyfriend, Internet star Justin Eagle. She posted on Instagram a photo with a heartfelt message dedicated to her fiance.
“I can’t believe I will have this precious moment. I thought I’ll be alone in my life but here’s God, never fails to surprise me and love me! He gave me this wonderful gift – an amazing man in my life! I am thankful and blessed!” she said on Instagram.
“Baby, thank you for loving me and choosing me. Thank you for always making me feel beautiful even if I say I’m not. Thank you for all your encouraging words and support in everything that I do. Thank you for loving me and being faithful and loyal even while being in a long distance relationship.
“I love you much Justin! Can’t wait baby!” she added.
While many congratulated Garcia, there were also some who wondered how her ex-boyfriend, singer and fellow “Pinoy Dream Academy” scholar Bugoy Drilon, received the news.
In an interview with ABS-CBN’s morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda”, Drilon only has nice things to say about Garcia and her recent engagement.
“Noong in-announce niya ‘yon magkakasama kasi noon. Nag-get together noong nakita may singsing na siya. I’m happy for her. I was crying nga that time. Basta, I’m happy for her,” he said.
Garcia and Drilon dated each other for two years before calling it quits in 2014. Drilon said in a previous interview with Kris Aquino that “falling out of love” was the reason of their breakup.
They have, however, decided to remain good friends ever since.
