A toy company based in the United Kingdom included two of the country’s carriers, Etihad and Emirates, in its list of the most family-friendly airlines in the world, which was released earlier this month.
Play Like Mum collected data from different airline websites to help them determine which carrier offers the most comfortable way of travelling for families with kids.
“We took a look at the world’s leading airlines to see what they offer families to take a bit of the pressure off. We’ve compared factors like whether or not they offer in-flight entertainment for children, and whether families can board the flight early,” Play Like Mum said in their website.
The determining factors that helped them decide which airline is the most family-friendly one include several features and amenities, namely free seat reservation, free checked luggage, pre-boarding for families, no ‘lap fees’, kid’s meal, free kid’s entertainment, carrycot, and free pushchairs.
Based on the list, British Airways took the top spot, while Emirates came in at a close second. Other airlines which were part of the top 5 include Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa and AirFrance.
Meanwhile, Etihad bagged the eighth spot of the said list.
