Tourist faints after breaking ₱2M bracelet

A Chinese tourist visiting the southwestern Yunnan province of China fainted after accidentally breaking an expensive bracelet.

The woman was trying on a jade bracelet inside a shop in Rulli City, Dehong Prefecture when it slipped from her hands.

The bracelet fell to the floor and split into two pieces, according to the report of South China Morning Post.

The staff informed her that the bracelet costs 300,000 yuan (roughly ₱2 million).

People tried to calm her down but the woman’s lips began to turn pale before losing consciousness.

“She fainted because of the shock, but fortunately she is fine after having emergency treatment in hospital” said Lin Wei, one of the shop owners.

The owners and the tourist were negotiating appropriate compensation for the item based on the woman’s financial situation.
