Al Rigga Night Market returns with carnival theme and exciting additions

Al Rigga Night Market is back for its fourth year, promising a carnival-themed extravaganza. G&M Events Management, the official organizer of the event, is all set to create a one-stop destination for residents and visitors, offering a blend of food, retail, games, rides, promotions, and more in one family-friendly space.

In an online interview with Frel Villaflor, Co-Founder and CEO of G&M Events Management, we got the inside scoop on what to enjoy from this year’s Night Market.

“This year’s Night Market is the biggest one yet. We’ve expanded the seating capacity and brought in a wider selection of foods from various countries. Visitors can also look forward to a massive display of retail stalls and even some adult rides in our theme park,” Villaflor disclosed.

With 100 stalls joining this year, it’s not just about the food. Villaflor emphasized, “It’s a combination of foods, retail, games, rides, promotions, and so much more. This is your one-stop destination.”

Discussing the origins of the Night Market, Villaflor shared, “Our goal is to create a marketplace and a destination for visitors and residents to shop and dine in an all-in-one family-friendly place while enjoying the season. This also helps small entrepreneurs start their own businesses and, at the same time, employ people.”

Over the past four years, the Night Market has become a staple in Dubai’s winter calendar. Filipinos, in particular, have warmly embraced the concept. Villaflor stated, “The reception of our kababayans (compatriots) is so surreal and overwhelming. They are always looking forward to the opening.”

Labor Attache John Rio Bautista highlighted the strong patronage from the Filipino community during the grand opening of the Night Market, noting, “One of the after-trade benefits is the habit of Filipinos to enjoy dining out. Most restaurants in UAE malls see 70% of their customers as Filipinos.”

Mr. Nayef Ibrahim from Dubai’s Department of Tourism emphasized the importance of the night market, saying, “It’s a family destination; people can stop over here, have food, buy some items, and go home.”

The Al Rigga Night Market opens every winter from October until May, and it continues to grow and evolve, with the goal of providing a welcoming space for all residents and visitors to enjoy this winter.
