Authorities affirm that the new national ID, otherwise known as the Philippine Identification (PhilID), allows easy tracking of medical records and health information.
The PSA said the national ID can also be “used for better targeting for social and health services” and it will also benefit in acquisition of education while the paperless transactions or the start of the digital generation will also progress under PhilSys.
On December 11, over 50,014,382 Filipinos completed the PhilSys registration process.
