President Rodrigo Duterte said that Senator Bong Go is not controlling him.
The remarks were made after retired military general and presidential aspirant Antonio Parlade made the claims when he filed his candidacy for president.
Parlade said that Go is part of the country’s “problems” and that he is controlling the president’s decisions.

“Kailangan ko is Bong actually, hindi sa lahat, because Bong is the chairperson sa Senate committee on health and demography,” Duterte said.
“Health kaniya eh so mabuti lang siya nandito but he does not control anybody,” he added.
Duterte added that Go is always with his side to fulfill his duties.
“Para may matanungan tayo kaagad,” he said.

“I cannot align with Senator Bong Go. Kasama siya sa problema ng bayan natin. I will not explain. Ask the AFP why,” Parlade said on Monday.
Parlade however clarified that he has no rift with the senator.
“Wala akong rift kay Sen. Bong Go. I don’t align with how he controls things, including controlling the decisions of President Duterte,” he said. (TDT)
