POEA: Fully vaccinated OFWs may apply for ‘yellow card’

Outbound travelers who have been fully vaccinated in the Philippines—including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs)—may apply for an International Certificate of Vaccination (ICV) should such be required by their country of registration, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) said.

Under POEA Advisory No. 101 dated August 5, the agency said those who need an ICV also called a “yellow card” can apply through the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ).

The POEA said those who wish to apply may register for an appointment through https://boq.pisopay.com.ph.

“Outbound travelers who have been fully vaccinated in the Philippines may apply for an ICV or ‘yellow card’ with the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) if such is required in the country of destination,” POEA said in the advisory.

“When making an appointment through the BOQ Medical Services OBS platform, applicants for ICV for COVID-19 must be able to pay through electronic means the amount of [P300],” it added.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), meanwhile, reported that the government is set to bring home 7,060 Filipinos this month after being stranded abroad due to the pandemic.
