Filipino weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz received a brand-new car following her historic gold medal win at the Tokyo Olympics.
In photos shared by Ayala Foundation, Diaz is seen standing next to her new car and taking it out for a test drive.

“The golden girl gets her golden car! Hidilyn Diaz takes her brand-new Kia Stonic for a test drive,” the Ayala Foundation said.
Diaz made history when she bagged the first ever Olympic gold medal for the Philippines after winning in the women’s weightlifting competition.

On Thursday, Diaz received a P3 million reward from lawmaker and business tycoon Mikee Romero who earlier promised to give incentives to Filipino Olympic athletes who will bring home medals for the Philippines.
This is on top of other incentives that Diaz will receive from both the government and the private sector. (NM)
