Derek Ramsay clarified that he was not trying to replace John Lloyd Cruz as the father of Elias.
Elias was the son of Cruz and model Ellen Adarna. Adarna is currently the girlfriend of Ramsay.
Elias celebrated his third birthday on June 27. Both Cruz and Adarna held separate birthday parties for their children.

“Happy birthday babiguling!! Love ya buddy!!” Derek wrote on his Instagram account with a photo of him and Elias.
Some netizens commended Ramsay for being serious in taking care of Elias. Some even said that Cruz should be thankful for Ramsay for taking care of the kid.
“Bro that’s not nice. Jl is a good father to Elias,” Ramsay responded.
