Filipino singer Ali Young launched her debut single ‘Craving’ as the latest artist who highlighted her music in an unconventional way.
The 25-year-old singer released her single on June 24, and became the first-ever artist to debut a single as a non-fungible token (NFT) in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

NFTs have caught the attention of the world after many internet memes of the past decade sold for millions of dollars.
Stating that ‘Craving’ is liberation in expressing oneself without judgment, the singer urged fans to listen to the song and feel empowered to fulfill their cravings.
Prior to releasing her single, the singer-songwriter did YouTube and SoundCloud covers of artists like Taylor Swift and Filipino pop act Yeng Constantino.

She later signed with newly-formed Alibatta Records in 2021 for their joint premiere and worked with the music label-cum-entertainment tech company for its debut.
The ‘Craving’ track released in the Binance NFT Marketplace witnessed all its Record Store Day edition tokens being auctioned, while its Standard, Diamond, and Succubi editions will subsequently be released on the platform exclusively. (AW)
