The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has recently launched a website aimed at streamlining processes for OFWs who have tested negative for the coronavirus disease in the Philippines so that they can fly back home to their provinces.
OFWs are urged to register at the website: uwianna.owwa.gov.ph to fast track transportation arrangements so that OFWs can be reunited with their families back to their intended destinations in the Philippines.
“It’s a registration procedure for those with negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) results and are in OWWA quarantine facilities for faster arrangement of their transportation back to their homes,” said OWWA administrator Hans Leo Cacdac.

The form requires basic information from each OFW, including asking each one about their current hotel locations as well as inquiring if they have already secured their certificate from the Bureau of Quarantine, among others.
“For faster booking of charter flights, and to group them based on the areas they are headed to. The purpose of this is to expedite the process,” he said as per reports from the Philippine News Agency.

OFWs qualified for registration should be included in the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) list of OFW repatriates with negative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests and are in a hotel provided by the OWWA.

Cacdac said the portal launched on Wednesday is currently undergoing pilot-testing.
“Please also give us this entire day to go through a pilot-testing phase of the portal. But feel free to already use it and register,” he said.
Cacdac assured OFWs that they are in close coordination with the Philippine Red Cross for their test results.
