The Department of Health has recorded 343 new cases of coronavirus disease or COVID-19 in the country, bringing the total to 1418. The DOH also recorded three COVID-19 deaths increasing the number of fatalities to 72.
Health Spokesperson Ma. Rosario Vergeire, on the other hand, said that 7 people have recovered from the virus bringing the total recoveries to 42.
“Mas marami na napo–prosesong results ngayon,” Vergeire said in a media briefing on Sunday.
Among those who recovered from the virus is PH 135, a 13-year-old from Quezon City. She was confirmed positive for the virus on March 13 and was exposed to a person who also tested positive for the virus.
The DOH also condemned reports of harassment and discrimination against healthcare workers.
“Sa panahon ng krisis, nanawagan po kami, itigil po natin ang karahasan, itigil po natin ang diskriminasyon laban sa ating healthcare workers,” Vergeire said.
