The Department of Health confirms that a COVID-19 patient in the Philippines has died in Manila.
“The reported death is patient with ID P35 confined at Manila Doctors Hospital in Manila City,” the statement said.
DOH is currently validating and collecting more information on the reported death.
The patient is a 67-year-old woman and has no recent travel history. Her symptoms manifested last February 29. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 only today.
“DOH will provide further details as soon it became available,” the statement added.
The health department appeals to the public to only follow official websites and accounts to make sure that they will only get verified information.
