The death toll from the 2019 novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCoV ARD) has surged to 361.
The death toll surpassed the record of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome or SARS in the mainland, which has 349 fatalities.
Hubei province reported Sunday 2,103 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus, reported Global Times.
The results bring the total number of cases to 17,238.
Meanwhile, authorities reported 295 patients recovered in the province.
