A woman who waa splashed with acid in the face by her boyfriend’s ex-lover now has her right eye blind.
Glory Cuerda attended the trial for her case wearing eye protection.
“Itong mata ko talagang isa, bumigay na po. Gagawin po ng doctor tatakpan na po para hindi maimpeksyon. Tapos ito pong isa kong mata tinutuloy namin yung gamot pero may posibilidad daw sabi ng doctor na bumigay kasi sobrang nipis na rin po niya kasi tinutunaw po talaga siya ng chemical na ginamit,” Cuerda told GMA News.
This is the first hearing she attended for her serious physical injury case against her boyfriend’s ex-lover identified as a certain Ramon Collada.
Authorities said jealousy was the main motive why the gay beautician splashed acid on Cuerda’s face.
“Sana mapatawad mo ako. Hindi ko talaga intensyon ‘yun. Nagmahal lang ako ma’am Glo sa maling pagmamahal. Nagsisisi talaga ako . Sobrang pagsisisi, hindi nga ako makatulog,” Collada said.
Cuerda said that it will be up to her lawyer to handle her case.
“Gusto ko lang makakita saka gumaling para sa mga anak ko na kasama ko po ngayon,” she added.
The trial will resume on October 23. (Trish Tan)
