Ex-lovers Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto arrived minutes apart at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport ahead of the ASAP Bay Area event in San Francisco.
Garcia arrived before his former girlfriend and was asked why he kept defending Barretto amid her rumored love affair with actor Gerald Anderson.
“Siyempre, naging karelasyon ko rin si Julia. Nasasaktan ako for her, sa nangyayari, pero I think makakabangon naman siya,” Garcia told ABS-CBN News.
Barretto on the other hand said that she is excited for the ASAP event but evaded questions on Bea-Gerald.
“I’m excited. I’m excited for ‘ASAP’ in San Francisco. It’s actually my first time in San Francisco. I’m excited that I’m going to be with other artists also,” she said.
The photo of the two was uploaded on ASAP’s official Instagram account but the comment section was later on disabled following criticisms on Barretto.
“I wonder how Julia will be received by fans? Ang tapang ah,” one netizen said.
“Hilaw yong smile nila!” another one commented.
“Grabe! Ang hirap nito for her. Andiyan pa naman si Bea and her squad. Halos lahat ata ng Star Magic kampi kay Bea,” another netizen reacted expressing concern on Barretto.
