Actress Judy Ann Santos has called out a certain weight loss product for using her name in a fake testimonial without her permission.
Santos posted screenshots a review of “Purple Mangosteen” that used her name to claim that she used the product to lose weight.
The weight loss product even used Santos’ photos to show how she lost 11 kg by taking it.
However, Santos posted on Instagram that she has never seen or used such product.
“Hindi ko kilala kung sino ang mga tao sa likod nitong produktong ito at kung sino ang gumagawa nito,” she said.
She added that her team tried to contact the manufacturers of “Purple Mangosteen” but they did not receive any reply from them.
“Beware of people using celebrities to promote their products. Hanggat hindi po mismong ako o kahit na sinong celebrity ang nag-post or nagsabing ginagamit namin ang isang produkto, wag na wag po kayong maniniwala,” she said.
Santos ended her post by saying that she also doesn’t have an official Facebook page.
