The Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed 168 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country, bringing the total now to 3,414.
Health Spokesperson Ma. Rosario Vergeire also reported that the numbers represent 16.9 percent of the 22,958 total number of patients tested for COVID-19 by authorities.
Eight laboratories nationwide were able to secure the accreditation to conduct COVID-19 testing.
Vergeire said that all accredited laboratories were capable of testing 1,200 individuals each day.
“Ang target po natin ay 8,000 hanggang 10,000 tests kada araw pagdating ng April 14,” Vergeire added.
