Some Cabinet members of President Rodrigo Duterte has agreed for pay cuts to help the government in its fight against the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 crisis.
The announcement was made by Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases spokesperson Karlo Nograles on Saturday.
As One Act],” Nograles said.
The IATF added that some of the top officials in the executive branch will donate 75 percent of their monthly salary until December this year.
The country is now under the enhanced community quarantine to further prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Senator Sonny Angara also admitted this week that he has donated his salary to help the government in its fight against the pandemic. Angara is the third senator who tested positive for the virus.
