Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV has claimed he turned down offers of political asylum from two countries in Europe.
Trillanes, who posted bail on Tuesday for a conspiracy to commit sedition charge, said he sees that the opposition now was “actually winning”.
He claimed that followers of the administration now are slowly being converted day by day after seeing that their earlier assertions were true.
Trillanes was charged with sedition after he linked the first family to the illegal drug trade.
As for the 20 cases filed against him by the Duterte administration, Trillanes said in an interview with ANC that he is not bothered.
He added that the intention was “to only instill fear in the others so they won’t follow suit”.
He also considers the Office of the Solicitor General’s move to seek the nullification of the ABS-CBN franchise, among others, are “acts of a desperate regime trying to hold on to its grip of power”.
