The United States has confirmed that the deadly Wuhan coronavirus has reached their country. A traveller returning from Wuhan, China has been diagnosed with the unknown virus.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that the case is a man in his 30s who had been taken to the hospital in the town of Everett in Washington after suffering from pneumonia.
In a report on the Washington Post, the man travelled back to the US even before health officials ordered the screening of travellers from Wuhan to Los Angeles, San Francisco.
The unknown virus has killed at least 6 people and infected hundreds of people across Asia.
The man is now in stable condition and is being treated in Seattle.
The United States is the fifth country to have a reported case of the so-called Wuhan coronavirus.
