Sharjah grocery store shut down for violation

For allegedly selling prohibited products, a grocery store in Sharjah was shut down.
According to an announcement on its official website, inspection teams of the municipality seized the banned substances which was hidden in various foodstuffs.
Khalifa Boughanim Al Suwaidi, head of the Municipal Inspection Department, stressed that this is part of the municipality’s campaign to periodically monitor and eliminate all unscrupulous  practices, apprehend violators and take necessary actions against them.
Banned items that were being sold at the store include niswar, shenni, and other types of chewing tobacco, according to a Khaleej Times report.
Apart from this, the store also sells food products that were either expired or spoiled because they were not stored properly.
