Abu Dhabi Police

Ten Emiratis were rescued by emergency teams from flash floods in Al Ain Wadi yesterday amid rains brought about by inclement weather, Abu Dhabi Police today reported.

According to Abu Dhabi Police the  men and women were trapped and surrounded by water in Wadi Saa.

Search and rescue teams received three separate calls for assistance in the area and managed to locate all those in trouble, reports from The National said.

Abu Dhabi Police said it likewise responded to 69 other emergency cases in the emirate during the storm.

The UAE had rains, hail and strong winds yesterday as a major storm blanketed much of the country.
